Facebook had added some pretty sweet targeting options to help advertisers reach key people. Their latest audience type; "Custom Audience from your website" offers remarketing similar to Google AdWords.

Prior to custom audiences, Facebook ad campaigns relied on demographics, geographic and interest targeting. With custom audiences, ads are served to a narrow, more specific group. Serving ads to current customers and/or people that have shown an interest in your business should have a positive impact on campaign success.

1. Data File Custom Audience

Upload your permission based contact list and Facebook will match users to create your custom audience. Save your new Custom Audience and you are all set to start targeting ads to this group.

Types of Data Files that can be imported:

  • Phone Number
  • Mobile Advertiser IDs

Lookalike Audiences are a great way to reach new people who are similar to one of your current Custom Audiences. Create a lookalike audience to reach people who are likely to be interested in what you have to offer.
